Other Issues for Credit Cards
When you have decided which credit
card you want to
apply for, you must look at all aspects that the provider has to
offer. You may want to pay off your monthly balance every month,
if that’s the case then interest rates would be least of your
worries.
When choosing your credit
card there are many issues
that do not relate to interest rates:
-
The consumer protection – Does the credit
card you choose offer a consumer protection?
If the answer is yes then does the item have to be over a certain
value to be covered legally?
-
The annual fee – For holding
the credit card, does the card issuer charge an annual fee?
There are many credit cards out there and an annual fee should
be the least of your worries however that credit card may offer
something extra, which outweighs the cost of an annual fee.
-
Information
on charitable donations – This is when the
card issuer contributes a little donation to a charitable need,
each time the credit card is used and the card holder will
not be charged an extra rate.
-
Information on travel
insurance – There are loads of credit cards
which offer travel accident
insurance .
Always read the terms and conditions also small prints. You
may want to book a holiday but pay for it on your credit card?
holiday deposits
using a credit card may not be covered.
-
Information on cash
back – Many credit cards offer cashback
on most purchases and tend to be 0.5% and 1%.
-
Want more than one
credit card – You may feel you want more
than one credit card or feel there are too many to decide from.
