American Express introduce new reward credit card

Many who are currently travelling may want to consider comparing the new American Express reward credit card.

American Express has announced this new reward credit card enabling people a chance to earn discounts on travel-related purchases.

Any cardholders who decide to use the credit card will receive one point for every pound spent, when a customer has 4,000 points, then only they will be given a £50 saving against purchase on products such as hotel bookings, flights and car hire.

Vice-president, Tom Allder, UK credit cards for the firm, commented: "Our strategy is to reward card members on an on-going basis for their spending with us. We are continually looking for innovative ways to reward our card members."

The credit card also includes limited insurance when problems such as flight delays or lost baggage takes place.

Only last week, Apacs, the UK card payments organisation, told cardholders who were travelling abroad that they should make sure they have a 24-hour contact number for their credit card provider in case of problems.
