Credit cards – Are you using yours properly?

Credit cards have taken over 34 million Brits, new data from Abbey Credit Cards have established that for three million of us, credit card practice is an everyday issue.

The results concentrated at frequent card users, age, gender and location, also the different types of purchases. Nearly 54 per cent of cardholders use theirc credit card at least once a week, sometimes more.

It was proved that most cardholders choose to use their credit card online. Over 20 million - 61 per cent stated that they frequently shopped online with a credit card. Results also showed that men were more inclined towards online shopping leaving a 69 per cent frequently doing so compared with just 52 per cent of women.

Director of Abbey Credit Cards, Roger Lovering commented: “Our job, as an innovative credit card provider, is to offer benefits on our Abbey credit card that are relevant to all the different types of credit card user. Currently we have a supermarket cashback offer, which has broad appeal.”
