John Lewis credit card customers satisfied
23/11/2007
Nearly 84 per cent of John Lewis credit card holders are happy with the service they receive from John Lewis.
Nationwide, Marks & Spencer, Co-operative Bank and Smile, together scored over 70 per cent.
Mint were the lowest performers, nearly 32 per cent were satisfied customers, Bank of Scotland levied at 34 per cent and Virgin Money 36 per cent.
Editor of Which Money, Martyn Hocking commented: "These street retailers are clearly stealing a march on traditional credit card providers when it comes to keeping customers satisfied."
New research indicated that card holders have slowed the process of obtaining new card deals.
Many people choose a card simply because they have a different financial product with the provider. 21 per cent of card holders selected their card to take advantage of the reward scheme.
"If you hold a card simply because you have another product with that provider or for reward scheme points then watch out - you’re unlikely to be getting the best deal," Mr Hocking added.
