New 0% credit card deal introduced by HSBC

HSBC unveiled two zero per cent offers on Wednesday 9th May, one deal which is available over the telephone and one in the branch, the last deal can only be taken advantage by online customers.

Credit card holders who pick up the phone or go into their local branch can take advantage from the 0 per cent interest on everything they purchase for up to a year and only pay 4.9 per cent on balance transfers until the end of January 2012, however it needs to be completed within 1 month of opening a account.

Credit card customers who are online have the chance to get 3 months of 0 per cent interest on items brought, however they can take advantage of the zero per cent interest on balance transfers. Any transfers made must be completed within 1 month of creating the new account

Head of credit cards, Rob Kenley, at moneysupermarket.com, spoke further: "The divide between online and branch and phone doesn't make sense – customers should have access to the deals through all means."
