Student Barclaycard to offer advice

Barclaycard will be offering advice and tips on the use of credit cards with student’s soon returning back to commence studies again. The credit card company will be advising on ways to borrow responsibly. With the recent credit crunch and debt rising, this news couldn’t have come at a better time.

The credit card website offers students a guide on responsible borrowing and the card remains to offer a credit limit of £600 to students. The credit card guide offers tips on areas such as the consequences of a missed payment, why you should aim to pay off more than the minimum, how to find the best deals, etc. In addition to this, potential customers have the use of a calculator to help work out how much it would cost to borrow different amounts and monthly payments.

“Cards can be useful for students managing a tight budget. If used sensibly they can establish a credit record for the future but only if they are used appropriately,” said Managing Director of UK cards, Amer Sajed.

He went onto say that, “Customers using our site will get straight-forward advice to help them make the most of the benefits and avoid the pitfalls of using credit cards.”
