20/04/2007
Halifax Credit
Card have completed a new type of survey and results have
shown that around £13.5 billion each year is being spent
on furnishings and furniture.
To break that figure down to each household
it averages at £531. Is everyone spending their Credit
Card on furniture?
Figures have shown that the amount
of money spent on furniture has rose by 86% over the last 10 years.
People today enjoy spending their money on renovating their home
and feel with a Credit
Card there is no limits.
When spending money from your Credit
Card on large items namely furniture you could save money.
One way is using a Credit
Card with a 0% balance transfer rate along with a 0% interest
free period. This way you are in a position where you could buy
the item first without making any physical payment however the
balance must be cleared before the interest free period expires,
this way leaving you paying nothing extra.
People like looking after there home
and feel this is a number one priority, however this should not
put you in a credit card debt.
It is always a good idea to make savings and if you have a chance
to take advantage of a 0% interest rate for a certain timescale
it is a good idea to take advantage of this but paying off the
balance in time is the main key.
